In anyone is interested to submit and distribute their knowledge with the landscape architecture profession, he/she may put forward an online proposal by January 29, 2015 (11:59 pm PDST).

ASLA will choose education session speakers from the submission lists and facilitate the selected speakers to have a full complimentary registration to the ASLA 2015 Annual Meeting as well as compensation for one night's hotel stay at an official ASLA hotel (estimated $750 value). The Landscape architecture professionals, who want to provide presentation at the Chicago meeting, should be a active members of ASLA. Associated professionals will also be able to submit presentations and speak but they don’t have to be the members of the Society.

While submitting a presentation, the items like speaker names with a biography; a session title, marketing statement, learning objectives, outline, and sources etc. should be included with the submission. All presenters should abide by the speaker terms and agreement.

Tactical Tricks and Sample Submission Materials :-
Education Sessions will be held on Friday, November 6, through Monday, November 9, 2015. Presenters should have to carry out a minimum of 50-60 minutes of presentation together with 30 minutes of Q&A (total time = 90 minutes), with merely three presenters.

To fulfill the ongoing education requirements of the large numbers of attendees, ASLA will be registering selected sessions with the Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System™ (LA CES), American Institute of Architects Continuing Education System (AIA CES), GBCI (toward maintenance of LEED accreditation), the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), and the state licensing boards of Florida and New York.

There will be a competitive selection process for the ASLA Annual Meeting Education Program. Only 1 in 4 presentations will be chosen from the submitted lists. All the submissions will be assessed and scored by The ASLA Annual Meeting Education Advisory Committee (AMEAC) on the basis of the following criterion:
  • Applicability to the profession of landscape architecture
  • Evidently narrated and viable learning objectives
  • Aptness of the topic
  • Subject matter appeal
  • Proper audience type and expertise level (intermediate, advanced)
